"A Slap in the Face of Public Taste": Russian Avant-Garde is a broad term encompassing a variety of artistic movements prevalent in Russia and the early Soviet Union from around the nineteen hundreds until the late 1930s. "World of Art" (Mir Iskusstvo), Futurism and Constructivism and are perhaps the best know genres but many other groups were formed and reformed.
Recently, Marijana Dworski Books (www.dworskibooks.com) had the good fortune to purchase a collection of some 180 books selected for their visual impact and exciting graphic design, some are of great literary importance, too.
